BITS
When it comes to engineering colleges, everyone knows about BITS. One of the top colleges of India and comparable to top IITs in terms of placements for CS branch and campus life.

Overview :
BITS Pilani was founded by Ghanshyam Das Birla in the year 1964.
BITS Goa was inaugurated in 2004.
BITS Hyderabad was started in 2008.
BITS Dubai was founded in 2000.
BITS has 4 campuses in total:
1. Pilani
2. Hyderabad
3. Goa
4. Dubai
Hyderabad and Pilani campus has an area of 275 acres and Goa has a campus of 190 acres.
Zero Attendance Policy :
Students have no compulsion to go to classes, with the exception of a few compulsory labs. The college firmly believes that students should be free to pursue knowledge independently of what is taught in the classroom.
Accreditations :
NIRF = 38
NAAC = A grade
AICTE approved
NBA accredited
NOTE:
If a college has more than 1 branches then accreditation and ranking are given to the main campus and it is considered to all the campuses.
SO you will not find any ranking or accreditation or ranking for Goa and Hyderabad branches separately.

There is a total Intake of 5970 students via BitSat examination in B.E and B.sc stream.
Pilani = 1050 students
Hyderabad = 1080 students

Placements :
Placements at BITS Pilani for all courses are held 2 times in a year.
The Institute offers summer placements that happen in 2 phases. One phase is for 2 months and another of 5.5 months where students get extensive hands-on experience.
In the year 2019, 173 students were registered for placements out of which 142 students were placed leaving 31 students unplaced. The maximum number of students were offered packages between 6-8 LPA (34%).

Eligibility :
For admission to any of the Degree programmes of BITS except B.Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or it's equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and adequate proficiency in English
For admission to B.Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or it's equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) and adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for the Pharmacy program.
The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects.
BITS examination can be given twice while appearing for class 12th and the next year.
If you are repeating the 12th exam, you should do it for all the subjects to pass 12th again as mentioned in the BITSAT brochure. If you take improvement exams in PCM/PCB only, you are not eligible.
Admission procedure :
BitSat examination is conducted by BITS for admission in their Indian campuses.
Board toppers are granted direct admissions and do not need to give BitSat examination.
CutOff :
BitSat does not declare any rank of candidate.
The cutoff for admission in any branch among the three branches of BITS is in score.
total score is 450.
This year you may expect a change of 5 marks in cutoff score.
I am providing below the cutoff score of 2019 for all the three campuses.
